What is MottiManager?+
MottiManager is web-based school management software for Kenyan primary and junior secondary schools. It covers learners, fees, attendance, exams, term reports, timetable, health, library, transport, hostel, and parent access — with separate portals per role.
Does it support CBC?+
Yes. You can structure classes from PP1 through Grade 9, assign CBC learning areas as subjects, and issue term reports. 8-4-4-style classes and mock assessments are also supported.
Can parents see results before the school publishes?+
No. Unofficial marks stay provisional. Parents only see published assessment results and PDF report cards after leadership publishes the term.
How does NEMIS fit in?+
You store learner UPI numbers and export active learners as a NEMIS-oriented CSV for reporting — reducing re-keying each term.
How much does it cost?+
Pricing is per active student per term — typically KES 40 to KES 150 per learner, set for your school by the platform owner. A school with 200 students at KES 80/term pays about KES 16,000 per term. All plans include a free 30-day trial.
Is our school data secure?+
Each school is isolated by tenant. Access is role-based. Passwords are hashed. Temporary parent passwords are never shown in the browser. Password recovery is emailed. Offline data stays on the signed-in device only.
Does MottiManager work offline?+
Yes. After you sign in once online, the school’s main modules are cached on the device. You can keep working without internet; changes sync when you reconnect. Install the app on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, or Linux for the best experience.
Can we scan visitor IDs and take photos in the app?+
Yes. Gate staff can scan National IDs to pre-fill name and ID number (always confirm before saving). Admins can capture student and staff photos with the device camera during enrolment.
Is there a product tour for new staff?+
Yes. On first login, eligible roles see a short onboarding tour (calendar first, then classes, learners, fees). Anyone can Skip tour. Restart anytime from User Guide → Interactive walkthroughs.
Can we download class and teacher timetables?+
Yes. Class grids and personal teaching schedules download as landscape PDFs from Class Timetable, My Timetable, or Print / Download.
